Hi,

I am using alfresco 3.1.1 over jboss 4.2.3. There is an issue with remote AVMService from windows machine to linux machine.Scenario is like this: I have one jboss server on windows machine & content server on tomcat+linux to which i am dumping content after successful publishing. While publishing content, i am trying to get AVMService of that remote tomcat machine but its not successful & i am not able to write content on that tomcat machine. Same is happening when i have replaced windows machine with Linux+jboss machine which is publishing & to the same linux+tomcat server where content is dumped.

So anybody has an idea how can we achieve this?

I'm presuming you are using RMI. If not then please explain which remote interface you are using.

There's two common problems users who deploy to linux.

A) putting a firewall in the way of the ports. Or not setting up portmapper.
B) Having an incorrect entry in /etc/hosts.
