Hi,

i'm exactly having the same problems with InDesign CS5, Alfresco & mac osx 10.6, its driving me nuts. I'm using Adobe Drive 2.0 and Alfresco 3.4b and get full system freezings by saving an .indd to the server out of InDesign. A simple save or a check-in can cause this problem. Unfortunately the freezing of InDesign causes all other Adobe Programs to hang. This forces a dirty shut down of the pc due to a not working "Process Stop". The result: the changes in the .indd made till the last regular check-in are lost, indesign trys to open the document again but says "the server version of DOCNAME.indd seems to be deleted". All work gone, no recovery option.
The only thing one could do to avoid this behavior is, download a working copy from the server, edit it locally, save it locally and check-it in via the Share-Interface. This scenario works but is absolute un-handy and time-consuming, thats not what i use adobe drive for…
I also noticed that InDesign saves its temporary file for the currently edited file directly on the server beside the original file, maybe this could cause the crashes and i also recognized performance leaks with larger InDesign Docs with plenty of linked media files. Wouldn't be a local copy better???

Day for day i'm waiting for a solution since a daily workflow with this problem is impossible and costs me money and nerves.
I assume the problems in the interoperability between alfresco cmis and adobe drive 2 due to freezing problems also within bridge and mac os finder during file-browsing.

i posted the problem in the adobe forums too, still waiting for a response.

regards,
volker

Hi,we're testing Alfresco CE 3.3 (running on SUSE & mySQL) in an setup with heavy Photoshop and Indesign usage from Macs. Using a CIFS share connected to Mac OSX Snow Leopard and CS5 Photoshop, handling of files is running perfectly ok.CS5 Indesign, however, crashes in the same scenario whenever
