Hello.
I have a web application that uses Alfresco ECM as content repository. I need to provide the users an "edit" link for each document they see in the browser. I build this link like this…

http://alfrescoserver:8080/alfresco/webdav/User%20Homes/myAlfrescoUser/mydocument.docx

The problem is that the document always opens in readonly mode! This does not happen if I open the document directly from Windows Explorer/My Network Places, it only happens using the webdav url.

I found a post in this forum sugesting to add an OpenDocumentsReadWriteWhileBrowsing key to the Client's Windows registry, but it didn't work.

Any idea to solve this problem? Thanks a lot !!

This is a known issue with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Office 2007 - I reported this in Jira last year. It may be fixed in release 3.3 when the new Webdav options are implemented.
