CE3.3 on Debian Lenny - Which intructions to follow?

Hello,I downloaded CE3.3 and i am a bit confused on which docs to follow. In one hand i have the official Alfresco install and config guide, but it seems to only apply if you are using the graphical interface. On the other hand i have "Installing Labs 3 Stable on debian Etch" which seems to be aimed

Also, do i install "Alfresco-Community-3.3-Linux-x86-Install" or "alfresco-community-tomcat-3.3.tar.gz"

You have a choice of whether to use the installer or install alfresco into your own application server.

Novice users tend to use the installer which comes with a bundled instance of tomcat.
