->Yes there's a plug in to do this. Look in these forums for details.

ii. Or can it save the index into Oracle, while the physical file at the
server directory with encrypted option. Means, even if someone access
the server, he can't read or open the file
-> use your OS permissions to restrict read access to Alfresco and your backup software only.
