It's a known issue with pdf2swf 0.8.1. Replace it with 0.9 instead.

Thank you. That was the fix I was looking for. I removed the old swftools package and compiled version 0.9.0 from source. The preview no longer plays everything in a constant loop.

moin moin,

resurrecting this thread cause having same issue with latest developement snapshot swftools-2010-02-06-1900.

As soon as the preview of a multipage document has been loaded, I'm not able to go through the document site by site because it scrolls all pages of the document automatically very fast!

what's been happening till now:

- successfully installed from file 'Alfresco-Community-3.2r2-Linux-x86-Install' on Fedora Core 12 Kernel 2.6.31.5-127.fc12.i686
- successfully tested my installation, I'm definitely able to use Alfresco with
     – swftools 0.8.1 or
     – swftools-2010-02-06-1900 (currently in use)

Installing 0.9.0 fails! Please see the make log below. (configure succeeded)
Maybe that's the problem?

I'm using FF3.6 w Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45 / IE 8 w Shockwave Flash 10.0 r32

ok fine, after some little hacks in the sources before compiling version 0.9.0 is running properly I guess.

BUT: PDF Preview still loops throug the document with highspeed…

I'm on the verge of giving up. No one any idea?? Can hardly imagine I'm the only one having this issue.

hi it's me again. :roll:

solved it by myself now.

the problem were the PDF Flash Previews created with the old version of swftools (8.1) installed. After installing 0.9.0/2010-02-06-1900 and updating the documents (delete and upload again) the preview seems to work fine.

Hi,

I have same issue with alfresco share 3.4d and sfwtool 0.9.0 or 0.9.1 .
I think is not a client problem because I try from different client, different OS and different Browser.

Please, can someone help me?

PS: I've already do:

- install sfwtool 0.9.0, verify install, verify pdf2swf command,
- ./alfresco stop, restart server, ./alfresco start,
- delete/add PDF from library, upload new pdf in library

Hi,

I have the same problème, for some pdf and not all the flash web preview scroll pages very fast.

I have installed sfwtool 0.9.1 (which works fine using console command)
the version of alfresco i use is 3.4d
I have specified the version 11 of flashVersion in the file : tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/thumbnail-service-context.xml

can u suggest me a solution.

after installing the new version of swftools, u must delete and upload again all document which have the problem, it work fine.
