PHP Amp or PHP Library Clarification Help?

I am currently trying to get the PHP functionality working for the MediaWiki integration.I am confused about the MediaWiki which maybe caused by the same confusion on PHP.Is PHP Amp Install different or newer and more recommended than PHP Library?I have already successfully done the PHP Amp Installa

Hello,

i'd like to up this question as i am experiencing the same issue.

Especially i would like to ask for the Status of PHP.amp vs. the php-Library mentioned in the Wiki and other sources.
At Alfresco forge it is mentioned the Library was part of standard Alfresco-Code as of 2006 (http://forge.alfresco.com/projects/php/)

So do i need the library if i installed the amp successfully (i did)?

I dont ask for in-depth-support, but a hint to get an orientation in my ongoing research/development.
