Thank you, however the Repository Browser only allows you to view documents that are within the Alfresco Repository (hence the name!)

For "not phisically in the Alfresco repository" I mean files and folders that are symlinked (in a Linux filesystem) into the Alfresco Repository through CIFS.
Couldn't it work??

CIFS is a view onto the Repository, it's not a "real" filesystem. Nodes must have metadata entries in the database and be indexed by Lucene in order to appear via any APIs.
