Alfresco Development Guide by Jeff Potts, is it up to date?

I'm considering buying Alfresco Development Guide, by Jeff Potts, but before I do that I would like to know how useful it is for current Alfresco versions. How much of the content applies to 3.2 (and the coming 3.3) and how much of current practices do I miss out on by following the book?Does anyone

It's a useful book, go buy it!

Yes its a couple of minor versions out of date but is holding up well. What is nice is the way that it starts from the basic concepts and most of that has been fairly stable for years.

Any technical book in print is out of date before the ink/toner dries. Jeff's book was written when 3.0 was basically in late beta. He mentions quite a bit about 3.0. I would say that most of the details still apply, but it does lack details on the recent changes.

Also, Jeff has been keeping the example code from the book updated for the latest version of Alfresco. He regularly posts those updates on his website.

On the whole, I'd say the book is still worth the money, but I am anxious for the next edition.
