Does the assignment of a task in a workflow immediately set a start date/time for that task?

Is the taskCreatedOn date populated as of the time they were initially created in the workflow or as of the time the task began in the workflow

Hi,

You can check it in act_hi_taskinst table's start_time_ column.
Task creation and task beginning are one and the same right ??

That's the exact question I have. Are they the same? Does the Task Creation mean that task has 'started' in the workflow? Not the date the task was initially created in the workflow? Therefore, can the Task Creation date be considered a task start date.

That date is when the task was created, when the execution of the process instance arrives in that step.
