i upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2RC1, and the problem appear that user still exist, but cannot login, and i cannot change the user password

Hi,

Have you made sure that you are referring to the old data root location in the new installation?
WIKI: Upgrading to V1.2

If you are sure that the database, indexes and content store are configured correctly, then we will probably have to take a dump of the system pre-upgrade to see what the problem is. What database are you using?

we use the fresh bundle, jboss + alfresco, so, i think we dont need to backup lucene database and the alfresco recognize the database and will upgrade automatically right.

there is no setting for alfresco for doing upgrade parameter.

my step here, success make all the content and space show up, but the user, still there, but cannot login and if i login using admin, cannot change the username password

Hi,

The upgrade of the database is automatic but doing an upgrade without taking backups is not, generally, a good idea :!:
Hence the advice to back-up before upgrading. (http://www.alfresco.org/mediawiki/index.php/Upgrading_1.2#Backup)

It would have been nice to get hold of the database pre-upgrade so that we could test for the bug before putting out V1.2 final. We have also found an issue with permissions from the upgrade, so it might well be the same thing.

You can see the content and spaces, but…
Can you open the content?
Can you add and search properly?

What database are you using?

yah all the content. work well

yah can but only admin, the rest user cannot login, event the user stil lthere
