I'd like to try developing a sample site component (such as Calendar or Wiki) and I feel that I need some sort of starting point. Does anyone know of any tutorials on the subject? I know that I've seen a wiki page containing links to different tutorials on the web and I'm pretty sure there was one a

The example on the blog you mentioned (Extending Share 3 - Adding new pages to share - http://edlovesjava.blogspot.com/search/label/extending%20share)
is the closed I found to adding a new page type to the document library.

I'm currently also working on the creation of a document library extension and planning to provide an example once the thing is finished (was expected last week but now will be 1st week January) - The example on the edlovesjava site unfortunately only shows how to create a page (the follow-up parts of the tutorial are unfortunately missing) and I've never got it fully working with the latest version of the document library.

There is a brief presentation from the Master Class to customize Share but it basically recommends to use the RM module together with debugging tracing though code as an example (PDF file is in the Alfresco document repository). I'm following the approach from the RM module but work got far more extensive than originally planned.

fpp
