Good day,

i have a question related to lucene search by filename (advanced search).

I have upoloaded a PDF file with file name - SC0390_ConnectDirect_CB.pdf, whenever i try to find this file by its name (complete - SC0390_ConnectDirect_CB.pdf), alfresco acts like there is no this file exists in system (result set is empty). But when i put there something liek "SC0390*" in query string - it finds it. What can be a problem??? The main thing - it not depends on filename length or so… Could anybody help or suggest - whats the issue?

I have been giving some thought about your issue.

1) I am hoping you are in "Advanced Search" screen - http://<localhost:8080>/alfresco/faces/jsp/search/advanced-search.jsp?
2) You are entering your search text in "Look for" text field in the top of the search parameters, correct?
3) I am hoping, by mistake you are not entering your search text in "Title" field. Because - based on your explanation - that looks like you are entering your search criteria in your "Title" field, instead of "Look for".

I even have 3.2 installed in my set up, and I see the search working perfectly fine.

Hope this helps!

I lately tried a completely different application also providing integration with Lucene and I found search results unreliable as simple not all the words that should be in the index do not get indexed. Is it possible, that this is a general Lucene issue?
