Same problem when migrating from 3 Stable to 3.2r2. Solved by purging all users/groups, triggering node cleanup job to clean up database and then doing upgrade.

Purging=Deleting all users from Alfresco. You can do this in a fast way by deliberately doing a faulty LDAP sync or by scripting.

I'm facing the same problem, but I can't delete all the users (about 7000) and groups to solve it!!!

Is there any other way to solve it??
