As you seem to have various cluster related issues at the same time (http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=34655) I urge you to check your cluster configuration. Changes to the metadata of a node (document) on one server should invalidate the 2nd level cache of your other server, forcing it to load the metadata from the database next time you want to access it and thus changes should be reflected. An incorrect setup of a clustered environment would cause caches to not be properly invalidated.

I have an Alfresco cluster set up with 2 servers. I create a document on one and I can see it on the other. But when I make changes to the metadata of the document, for instance adding to its description, those changes are not reflected on the document on the other server. There is no error messag
