Problems with office plugin

Hi there,I have some problems with the office plugin. I hope this is the correct place to post it….I entered the required data like URL, WEBDAV, CIFS etc. according to my configuration. When connecting, the box shows only the coloured flower and is flickering like hell.. I can't even cklick the link

I don't think you have the v3.2 Office add-in client, as WebDAV is no longer presented in the UI.

So sorry, you are absolutely right.. I downloaded the version I found on your website which is 2.1. Downloaded 3.2 now and it works partly. One thing: Which is the correct entry for CIFS? I tried different versions, but all led to nothing. Without CIFS I can access my docs, but partly I can see only one line of text in a doc file, all the other text is not visible (as if a white rectangle lies over it). Apart from that, there are some problems with special characters like Ä, Ü, …

If you've configured CIFS, then the name will something like \\serverA depending on your server name, appended with "A" - depends what you've configured in the fileServers subsystem.

The "white rectangle" bit confuses me - where exactly are you seeing that (please upload a screenshot to imageshack or similar if possible).

Make sure your Tomcat server is configured to correctly handle UTF-8 URIs. Look for URIEncoding="UTF-8" in the <Connector> node in server.xml.

There is no problem in server.xml. It has nothing to do with URIs I think but with menu text… For example: If I click on the "Workflow" button in the box, it says "Meine Aufgabe", and next to it "=Ã¼berfÃ¤llig" which should be "überfällig".

Concerning the "rectangle: I will check with some other documents. Maybe this one is somehow corrupted or too big or whatever….
