I've exactly the same problem in Alfresco Community Edition 3.2. most important difference, I am working on port 8088 instead of 8080 because it is already used by another Service.

Did Anybody find a solution for this problem?

The problem is with something using port 50501. If you are using 3.2 try adding the following to alfresco-global.properties:

avm.rmi.service.port=50509

If you are using a version pre 3.2 try adding the same line to repository.properties or if you are using the extensions add it to custom-repository.properties

Well i resolved it. As I wrote in my case I used a different port and it seems simply that the Windows Installer doesn't configure all files on the port I choosed during the setup instead it simply changed only the server.xml.

Now I found a list of files to check all them I configured to use also port 8088 (which choosed I myself) and I can log into share without any problem. So if you've the Same problem and your port defer fom 8080 check the following WIKI page:

http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Changing_Default_Port_Configuration

And I forgot for all German readers here a full intro in German: http://www.jb-networks.com/post/2009/07/Alfresco-Installation-auf-Port-3c3e-8080.aspx
