I read that thread before posting my question. I guess what it doesn't tell me is if there's a mechanism within Alfresco WCM to attach the add'l translation when it comes in [from the 3rd party vendor]. On the Alfresco DM side, there seems to be the ability to attach translated content, but I haven't found any topics of how to do this on the WCM side. Since the DM and WCM repositories are different, I don't want to assume that this same feature exists in both repositories.

Were you able to determine if Alfresco WCM has the same multilingual support as the ECM side? We are evaluating Alfresco for WCM for sites that have multilingual content, and would also like it clarified. thanks

You can two options;

1. As per the thread, in your content templates you can specify what the language of the content is and also include the association.

2. Use the DM multilingual functionality for the content authoring and QA. But use WCM to publish / deploy the content.

We've implemented couple of multi-lingual solutions utilizing option 1 and one using option 2.
