After first installing the new 3.2r release I was looking how to define a Fileplan. An earlier experience with 3.0 and RM showed a detailed explanation on installing an AMP and using the Fileplans. But I did not find a simular cookbook for the latest release.I also found out that the dod5015 module wa

Hi Jerry

Do the following:

As the Alfresco admin user, Customize Dashboard. There is a new dashlet you need called "Records Management Config", add this to your dashboard. Once you have this set up should be easy.

This dashlet has three options:
1. Create Records Management Site (do this first)
2. Load Test Data (this loads a sample file plan, you don't need to do this)
3. Management Console (this gives you access to admin functions such as setting up new roles, audit, etc.)

Sorry if this was not clear previously.
Hope this helps.
Carlos

Glad to help. I'm not sure I understand your question:

I use webservices to upload pdf/a files to archive in Alfresco. Could you please inform me if this is a good approach or that I use an alternative approach?

PDF/A is definately the best content type for long term retention, I'm not sure that is your question though.
Carlos

I think I know what jwierda1 means, and I have the same experience:

-formerly, with RM experimental module, we had a RM view in Alfresco Explorer and we were able to create spaces (with advanced wizard) that were RM aware; now this interface is gone!
-I created a RM site in Share but when I go in Explorer and navigate to this space, there is no option to change the template for fileplan or so. We don't have a dashboard anymore, like explained here:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Records_Management_User_Guide
Is this interface gone with the new 3.2r???

Thanks.

The Records Management module was written specifically for Share. No work was done for this in Alfresco Explorer, indeed this interface was not included as part of the certification process. The interface built with Share is undoubtedly very different but is more functionally rich so you should be able to do most things that you want, but not through the Explorer interface.
