    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The short answer is yes it does.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The long answer is that technically it doesn't provide these services - the Alfresco repository exposes itself via those protocols (amongst others) and Share is simply an alternative web UI that sits "on top" of that same repository.&amp;nbsp; So any time you manipulate content in a repository via Share, you could also manipulate that same content directly in that same repository via any of the other protocols (CIFS, WebDAV, FTP, NFS, Sharepoint Protocol, IMAP, SMTP, REST, SOAP, JCR, etc. etc.).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Cheers,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Peter&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
