Hi,

while having pdf2swf working correctly, I wondered, if there's a way to let the produced swf-slides be clickable to switch to the next slide.
Out of the box, it seems like they are "playing" automatically, though switching from side to side automatically. The only alternative right now is to stop this via the flash player context menu and use that menu for manual navigation. Something not very usable.
I'd like to simply left-click into the slides and being presented with the upcoming one.

This auto slideshow is good for presentations, but since PDF files mostly are text-laden, it is not always easy to keep up with reading.

pdf2swf-options only has one promising option: -t or –stop.
Can this tool produce a left-click-navigation-ready file and where would I put the options?

Do you mean you're seeing that behaviour when viewing the swf through the Share interface?

If so, which version of pdf2swf (server) and Flash (client) are you using?

Thanks,
Mike

I did not have any issues in Share, although I didn't try "manually" converted swf's there.
We try to integrate these flash copies for a more convenient alternative to a download in our intranet portal, that is not Alfresco based (but backed through all the documents 🙂 ).
We use flash player 10 and swftools 0.9.0, with pdf2swf coming included.

You might be able to add the "-t" option onto the end of the swf.exe property so it reads:

swf.exe=./bin/pdf2swf -t‍

If you're on v3.2 this can be overridden in alfresco-global.properties, otherwise you'll probably have to add it to custom-repository.properties (note: untested, sorry).

Thanks,
Mike

Actually this doesn't work, even on a command line outside Alfresco. So this option is not the one I've searched for.
But it's good to know, that this configuration accepts such options. This leaves it very easy to adjust to one's needs.
