What browsers have you tried? Are you accessing Share through https?
I had this (or at least a similar) issue while we were using a self signed SSL certificate. That had to do with the flash plugin used by Share for uploads and where it looks for self signed certs on the client versus where the browser stores them. The plugin looks in the system at the location IE stores the certs (even if you're using the plugin within Firefox).

Hi there, I had tried it in FireFox through http, no https. I just went and tried it in Chrome and it worked, I went back and tried again in FireFox and it now works there too!! I have not changed anything since last night and I've been trying to get this working on and off for the last couple of days! Anyway, it seems like there is no problem now, I'll post back again if it starts again…

I am facing exactly the same issue. Here are some interesting scenarios…

1) When I upload using Alfresco Explorer, the upload works. But, when I try uploading using Share, it does not work. It says "Failure". The file is just a small logo file.
2) I was not able to upload via any of the browsers before, but after reading the forums, I downloaded the latest version of Flash Player for IE and tried uploading. I was able to upload using IE. However, I am not able to do the same with Firefox on Windows or Safari on Mac.
3) Interesting thing is - using my same laptop - when I connect to another server with same Alfresco, all my uploads work using the same browsers.
4) I don't have HTTPS, it is plain HTTP.

Now, it is confusing whether it is a server issue or browser issue, since it is working for one server and for another it does not.

Any help is appreciated!

Well, after I downloaded the Flash Player for IE and non-IE, installed and then removed cache in FireFox -
All of my uploads started working. I am using Windows.

However, the problem still exists - when I test the same in Mac Safari and Mac Chrome, it does not work.
Any help is appreciated!

OK, I have got a solution for issue regarding "Could not upload files into document Library of Alfresco Share".

This scenarios is only HTTP and no HTTPS.
I was using Windows OS and using IE, Firefox, Chrome everywhere it worked ONLY after I got the latest Adobe Flash Player 10.0.45.2 installed. That is good.

After that I was facing issue STILL with Mac's Safari, Chrome and Firefox, even after I download the latest flash player 10.0.45.2. After careful investigation, it was found that -

we were actually doing redirection of the URL (in tomcat) and upload of JPGs or in that case any file was failing to upload. Once a failure of upload happens, all the files started to fail on upload, even for the files which were successful uploading before.

Then, found out that as soon a failure of upload happens, it gets cached in MAC's preferences.
For Safari the path of the file is - library/Caches/com.apple.safari/cache.db;
Similarly for Firefox, the path of the file is in library/Caches/Firefox.

Now, how do you solve this problem in Mac is: Do not redirect, or atleast we had a broken redirect of URL implementation in our instance. On top of that, the failure gets stored in the preferences of the browser. That was causing persistent failures.

Hope this is helpful for users of Windows and Mac - about File upload in Share with latest version of Flash Player installed on HTTP only.
