Not quite sure what features are required for "IRM". If you can list a set of functionality, we can say if it is available in Alfresco or not.

My company have some experience with EMC Documentum IRM based on Authentica solution.
This solution have IRM Client for MS Office, standalone IRM Server and integration with EMC Documentum Webtop.
I think, it is possible to integrate EMC Documentum IRM Server with Alfresco because IRM Server have java API, witch is used in integration with EMC Documentum Webtop.

After some googling I found another IRM solution from Oracle: Oracle IRM. One have Oracle IRM Web Service SDK and can be integrated into ECM systems http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/content-management/irm/index.html
