Hi Guys

I have more news. I found that the problem is being created by the file outboundSMTP in C:\Alfresco1\tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\subsystems\email\OutboundSMTP. Everytime i edit this file to setup the email the system stops to work. If then i replace with the original ( i have made a backup copy of the original file ) it works again. I have check the permissions of both files and they are simillar.

The content of the modified file is the following :

mail.host=smtp.gmail.com
mail.port=465
mail.username=luis.xxxx@gmail.com
mail.password=xxxxx
mail.encoding=UTF-8
mail.from.default=luislancos@allgroupservices.com
mail.smtp.auth=false
mail.protocol=smtp

# New Properties
mail.smtps.starttls.enable=true
mail.smtps.auth=true

#use these properties to send test message during start of subsystem
mail.testmessage.send=true
mail.testmessage.to=luis.lancos"gmail.com
mail.testmessage.subject=Outbound SMTP
mail.testmessage.text=The Outbound SMTP email subsystem is working.

Any ideias ?

Hi

Me again. I finally solve the problem! The problem was with the outboundSMTP properties file, I had two mistakes :

1. A typing error using " instead og @
2. protocol smtp instead of smtps

What is interesting is that this can totally stop your system from working instead of just the outbound email from working. I think that Alfresco should validadate a litle more these conf. files.
