Hi every body,I want to develop custom module and extension for alfresco , and For me the Maven way is the best .I found all the work of sourcesense to have an archetype for alfresco . It's a great job ..My question is : In the archetype and in the repository of sourcesense i found only an labs vers

The use of Maven has been discussed within Alfresco Engineering and there's now a desire to goto Maven as soon as possible. And as as you have seen there's been some progress (and some impressive demos) for the Labs version.

However the timing for and when Alfresco will move to Maven is not clear. I'm not sure its on any roadmap yet, but it has to happen fairly soon since the current way of working is causing problems.

There has also been discussion internally about providing a Maven repository containing the Alfresco Enterprise artefacts, prior to moving the Alfresco build itself to Maven (it's a common misconception that Alfresco itself must be built with Maven in order for extensions to be built with Maven).

In fact we already have such a repository available internally for Alfresco employees, but cannot expose it until we have a Single Sign On infrastructure across the various Alfresco Enterprise subscriber web services (http://customers.alfresco.com/, http://network.alfresco.com/, http://share.alfresco.com/, http://support.alfresco.com/, http://issues.alfresco.com/, etc.).

I'd encourage you to raise a ticket in ACT (http://support.alfresco.com/) requesting this facility, so that we can ensure this work gets prioritised appropriately.
