Yes of course. I am able to login to alfresco from http://<domain<port>/alfresco. The problem occurs when I point my browser to http://<domain<port>/share.

Hi,
I've installed the latest Windows download version and have encountered the problem outlined above.

I am able to login to alfresco from http://<domain<port>/alfresco but get the same HTTP Status 500 when I point to http://<domain<port>/share.

I used a typical install the first time and then tried the custom install. This didn't resolve the problem. Any ideas?

Did you carry out any changes in the default port (8080) for alfresco?

If yes then do update these changes by carrying out a search on /share folder with the same port number on which alfresco runs.

Wow! it took you guys more 3 months to respond. This is really awful. I don't know how you expect people to use your product if you don't provide quality and timely feedbacks.

Maybe you guys are thinking we are just here to waste our time or looking for freebies. If so, then please think twice. My company desires to explore Alfresco to the fullest and if you guys are not providing the necessary guidelines to help test what we propose to buy in the future, then maybe you are indirectly telling us to look elsewhere.

Now back to your response. Apart from the delay in giving a response, your response is not even specific enough. For example, what am I searching for in the /share folder. Is it 8080 or the custom port number for Alfresco?

Please be more specific and help me make my decisions faster.

The share to alfresco connection is configured in webscript-framework-config-custom.xml. Download webscript-framework-config-custom.xml.sample from http://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-open-mirror/alfresco/HEAD/root/projects/slingshot/config/alfresco/web-extension/webscript-framework-config-custom.xml.sample and copy to $TOMCAT_HOME/share/classes/alfresco/web-extension/webscript-framework-config-custom.xml. Now edit all the endpoint-url tags so that they have the correct host name and port number.
