I realised my error here.
I was not aware that the LDAP synch does not import the users within the sub groups.
This has to be done through the user query.

I still have a problem however with importing users from many different groups.

Does the following theory apply if adding users from more than one group?


ldap.synchronization.personQuery=(&(&(objectclass\=user)(memberOf\=CN\=Manuals Group,OU\=Security Groups,OU\=Global,OU\=Divisions,OU\=Test,DC\=Domain,DC\=ie))(memberOf\=CN=Manuals Group 2,OU=Security Groups,OU=Global,OU=Divisions,OU=Domain,DC=Domain,DC=ie))
‍‍‍

and so on adding another ampersand if adding another group.

Is it possible to add users from mulitple groups in this way? Is the format correct?

I would greatly appreciate feedback on this/

That wouldn only return users in both groups. I would use an OR rather than an AND.
