Got a weird issue here - where I can save a Word Document to a Alfresco Space, but I can't open any. I have to open the file locally (at which point it informs me it's also on the alfresco share and prompts me to update it). When I try to open from Word (File > Open http://192.168.1.123:7070/alfre

Just to update. I've installed alfresco on another remote server (first time was local virtualised server).

I get exactly the same problem. I can't even connect via port 7070 - even through a browser.

However, I tried on a Virtualised XP install - and it's fine.

I'm currently Running Windows 7 RC1. Looks like that could be the issue here…..

No firewall. IP tables turned off on CentOS. Firewall disabled on my PC.

Windows 7
1. I go to http://myserver:7070/alfresco (in IE, trusted site, default browser)
2. It gives me a authentication popup (windows).
3. I put my username in
4. It rejects it
5. Go to #2
(repeat 3 times).

Windows 7
1. I go to http://myserver:8080/alfresco
2. It presents me with the login screen
3. I login with the same username and password that was just rejected.
4. I use the site.

Windows XP
1. I go to http://myserver:7070/alfresco (in IE, trusted site, default browser) (On XP Machine on same local network)
2. It gives me a authentication popup (windows).
3. I put my username in
4. It accepts it.

So it works fine on an XP machine on the same network….
