Hi Philip,

as I suggested http://forums.activiti.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=208&p=721&hilit=umlauts#p721 you have to type (in Windows)

set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
then start activiti tomcat.

After that it works, if you don't use an already non UTF-8 file
