Hi Guys,

I am still plugging away at this and I may have stumbled on the problem, but don't yet know the answer.

In the custom.repository.properties file, it shows a comment about the mysql-connector jar file which ships with Alfresco. I have searched my system and it is not there, so I assume it is missing in the -3-stable package. I have downloaded the package, but I am still need to know which folder to place it in and how to install it in the classpath etc……

Here are the install instructions I put together to start from scratch.

I think your problem might be the alf_data.
You have to move the data from Derby to MySQL.

If you have data in alfresco do not run this, it will wipe out all your content.
If not then:
stop alfresco
rm -rf the alf_data directory
make all the required changes in the files listed on the instructions page above.
start alfresco
