Surf Website, Alfresco on an Intranet

Hi,I want to have Alfresco running only on an Intranet but at the same time a Surf based Website with content from Alfresco's WCM.Can I run this configuration and have Alfresco use a File System Receiver (FSR) to deploy the content (webscripts, css, news articles, products) into the Surf website and

Yes it is possible. Not straight out of the box though.

You will need to extend the Surf framework to find your XML content on the file system and render them appropriately. We've implemented something similar using Apache Solr to provide XML indexing and search for a stand alone Surf site.

Thank you for your reply. I will look into your solution. It's good to know that at least someone already implemented it

This company's website will be hosted outside the company but Alfresco will be in the Intranet to be used as a Document Manager.

The website will contain mainly company information and their services. I guess I could also expose the Web Content using Web Services in Alfresco but in this case I'm concerned about performance problems.

Hmm .. that sounds like a typicla staging scenario, deploying content from an internal stage to an external system. Does Alfresco not habe something more comfortable available here ?
