      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;CentOS 5 has a JVM installed that doesn't get along well with Alfresco. Download the Java SE Development Kit (current version JDK 6 Update 13) from java.sun.com. There are rpm's available for easy installation.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Then you need to tell your CentOS installation to use Sun's java, instead of the open source one that came with CentOS. The CenOS forum has a thread that describes how to do it here: &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=8390" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=8390&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I found that Alfresco still wouldn't work with the new java until I uninstalled and re-installed Alfresco. So, the moral of the story is to have the correct java in place before starting the installation.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
