Hi there,

Right now when I install Alfresco, eveything is installed on one machine. Is there any way to seperate the tiers so that I can install the webapp on a different box and the the Repsitory service on a seperate box. I'm trying to have a clear seperation of process the way EMC does it. I'm working for a client and they don't like the idea of having everything except for the database on the same box.

Thanks

- Harjit

The share interface should go onto its own server farm.

However the alfresco explorer interface can't easily be uncoupled from the alfresco repository cluster. Some users like to "disable" the alfresco exploer from one of more of the repository cluster nodes (you will find threads in this forum about it).

The database, of course, goes onto its own tier.

And the content store should probably go onto its own tier.
