    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hello at all,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I read in the Activiti documentation the following: when the completion expression evaluates to true, all remaining instances &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;are destroyed]/b] and the multi-instance activity ends, continuing the process.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have the use case, that subsequent completions of the remaining instances are inconsequential (see workflow pattern 34: &lt;A href="http://www.workflowpatterns.com/patterns/control/new/wcp34.php" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://www.workflowpatterns.com/patterns/control/new/wcp34.php&lt;/A&gt;)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Lets say we have a multi instance loop cardinality of M.&lt;BR /&gt;My question is: is there a way to complete N of M instances within a Multi Instance task, continue with the process, but the remaining M-N instances WON´T BE DESTROYED so that the completion of those remaining instances may occur or not?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Maybe with a signal event or something?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any ideas are welcome.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks and best regards&lt;BR /&gt;Ben&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
