I have been trying to find a way to get a custom RSS feed of ASEAN running in Labs (3.0b) share. As I have indicated in another post, google news feeds don't work as do any other feeds that require passing some sort of query to the news engine. (examples: http://[myserver]:8080/share/proxy/alfresco/slingshot/wiki/pages/Facility?format=rss, http://news.google.com/news?q=asean&output=rss)

I just tried to run a custom yahoo feed and the rss reader in share blows up with an HTML/Java error. Here is the URL that I was using:

http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/rss;_ylt=A9j8eu3cyDlJXw0BLQ_QtDMD;_ylu=X3oDMTA3MTBsZGZsBHNlYwNhZG0-?ei=UTF-8&p=asean&eo=UTF-8

Any thought why this happens? Any thoughts on work arounds.

Thanks

Tim
