Hi,

we are looking at implementing alfresco as a document management software where we have oracle 10g standard edition as the Database Server and Jboss as the application Server.

we will require to scan and store approximately 40 million documents in a 3 year period average size of a scanned document would be 300KB.

The main servers would be centrally located at the Data center and will be accessed by users in 300 locations to scan and post the documents. these documents which are submitted by the users in remote locations will go through a approve cycle and and once approved will be posted in the approved section of the document management system.

we will have to integrate with a ILM solution ( Information life cycle Management) please recommend a Open source solution which would integrate well with alfresco.

Regards

EWIS

Alfresco has a records management module. http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Records_Management_User_Guide. You can adapt this for your ILM needs.
