    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Dear All,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Currently our company is maintaining 1.5 lakhs of docs in alfresco as content repository. But all those docs have uploaded by using the existing OOTB content type(cm:content). I have written one custom model file with custom content type. This type will contain some custom properties like Type,domain,source,month and year. Is it possible to change or add the custom properties to the existing 1.5 lakhs docs. Because we are not able to search the required docs properly. Please provide me the suggession to achieve this. By provding those custom properties we can able to search as desired.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I really appreciate the quick response.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;There are a few ways of changing the document type.&amp;nbsp; It depends on how you intending setting the metadata; user-set on the UI, metadata extraction from the document format itself or by some other means.&amp;nbsp; Give some details of where the custom data lives and how you would like to get it into Alfresco, please.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I presume you are using MySQL.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/rename-database.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/rename-database.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Then just fix the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;db.url&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; property in your &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;custom-repository.properties&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Regards&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
