Alfresco 3.0b: Install error (Linux)

I am not sure if you were reading my steps on this page for linux install:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3_on_Linux_with_command_line_interface
I am thinking you might not have the JAVA environment correct or the permissions on the install file might be wrong.
Try my install steps and see what happens.
I have not tried JAVA 6u10 yet.

Yes, I'd set JAVA_HOME. It doesn't seem like a JAVA issue to me - something about not being able to load the object orientated extensions for TCL instead.

In the end, I just downloaded the Tomcat bundle and deployed that myself. I don't need WCM and the other stuff anyway.

I had the same problem with RHEL5, and I think it was because /tmp was set to be a non executable directory.

I resolved with these steps:
1) edit /etc/fstab and remove 'noexec' flag from tmp
2) remount /tmp: "> mount -o remount /tmp"
3) then run the installation as instructed

Set /tmp back to non executable if desired.
