topic Auditing in WCM in Alfresco Archive

Per http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Audit_Configuration, WCM-specific services such as AVMService and AVMSyncService cannot be audited by AuditService because they are not public services. Has this been enabled in the latest release? I do not see AVMService marked with @PublicService in the latest source code.

Does this mean that WCM operations such as adding files or web forms to the web project will not be audited? If so, is there some other way to enable audit trail logging for WCM operations? If not, which other services are responsible for logging audit trails for WCM operations?

Thanks,
Satej.

You are right that auditing is "missing" in WCM.

The justification is that WCM is based upon the AVM stores which are fully versioned by design. So you can always see who did what, when for every file in every revision.

I chatted with my Alfresco colleagues today and we agree that this is a low priority issue that needs fixing sometime. If you feel strongly about this then please raise an issue in JIRA.
