Parallel SubProcess and Boundaryevents

I am new to activiti and trying to create a parallel subprocess with a timeout and an error boundary event. I have three problems which I can't seem to solve on my own:1. despite setting isSequential="true" in the multiInstanceLoopCharacteristics element, the SubProcesses are executed sequentially.2

Please provide a unit test showing this behaviour (it will be easier for all of us to investigate it)

Sorry, not sure if there is an edit option in this forum, but I could not find one. I've created a visual represenation of the process using activiti designer for better understandability of what I am trying to achieve:

So I create a list in the first task, iterate over it using parallel subprocesses and each subprocess may either terminate correctly or throw an error event.
