Just installed Alfresco and launched Share .. not sure if this is the right place to ask questions about it, but might as well ask. I think it is awesome! One quick question (after 5 minutes playing about it): is there a way for me to 'link' or 'copy 'n paste' documents in My Home (web client) into

I have created an issue in JIRA https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALFCOM-1883 that talks about linking and the importance of this in share client. Vote for it, and add your comments.

As for the how to develop for Share, your starting point can be http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Surf_Platform

Has there been any update on this?

Is there a way to link the documents created in the Alfresco repository directly into the Share application?

No, currently you'll have to copy or move the documents into the site's space using Alfresco Explorer.
