Trouble with running alfresco after a successful build

I have built alfresco code successfully using eclipse and ant. The build copies the alfresco.war into tomcat's webapps directory. When i try to access the alfresco website using the following url http://localhost:8080/alfresco I get this error ( this is from the logs of Apache's tomcat)03:10:36,453

You need to create the database and give the alfresco user access to the database.

Run the following commands using the MySQL command line utility:


create database alfresco;
grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;
grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost.localdomain' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;
