I'm trying to get Alfresco working with our ldap directory (OpenLDAP), but I'm not having much luck. System works fine when the ldap isn't being used, but as soon as I put in the ldap-authentication-context.xml it goes nuts. thanks for your response when i try to connect by an exsisting user i can't ,i can just log with the user indicated in my configuration files ,so how can we configure the synchronisation

hello now icabn connected by ldap user but i cant connect by the admin [from Ldap ] exemple user:uid=TEST,ou=alfresco,dc=tgr,dc=com it ok but if i want to connect by my admin [ou=admin,dc=tgr,dc=com] i can't connect can you help me please

first let me thank you for your help ,yes i'm a marrocan ,i live in casablanca ,Now i resolved the problème by create a admin account with thee same form uid=admin,ou=alfresco ….,when i want to create a user from the alfresco interface i have this message "failed to ceate Person due to error :create user is not supported" can you help me please .

Hello can you explain to me how can i activite the chaining faillture please ,really if can i have a possiblity to create a user in Ldap via alfresco thats good, but if it is not possible,i use the first(permit access for Ldap users and intern users).

I gave up…maybe trying the latests release to get chaining working?

I am off tomorrow, I will reinstall and try it again.

Has anyone come across the following error messages that get generated when trying to auth against ldap when using the CIFS side of things? Everything seems to work fine for the web end, but CIFS is a bit of a mystery.

15:11:27,764 DEBUG [org.alfresco.smb.protocol.auth] Null CIFS logon allowed
15:11:27,769 DEBUG [org.alfresco.smb.protocol.auth] No PassthruDetails for T1

Any idea what that could mean?
