I cannot find any documentation on how **EXACTLY** to configure an ASR in Alfresco Labs 3.0 Final.. I know that an ASR is simply an instance of Alfreso, but how exactly is it configured? Where is the documentation to do this. Am I missing something? I Can't seem to get it working.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I finally figured out that an ASR is just an instance of Alfresco.. So I got my website to Deploy to it, now I'm having trouble getting in to view the website. I've pointed our test dns to the website, but nothing is coming up, it's just a blank page.

Is it that I should also configure and start the Virtual Server? Is that how public pages can be hosted?

The other issue is virtual hosts, I assumed that the url to the website in the field of the Web Project settings is the way that we can host different company websites, is this correct?

We have 3 different websites we want to host.

Hi,

I have quite the same problem.
I successfully deployed a test website from an Alfresco instance to another one (the second one running as an ASR). In this ASR, when I navigate trough the "node browser" I can see my website (avm://myWebSite). I even find my pages when I navigate from parent node to child node.
The problem is that I can't figure out how to get my fresh new website trough a simple URL or whatever. Where are my files ? How can I reach them as a simple internet visitor ?

I think I need some of your explanations.

Regards.

We're currently accessing alfresco data by making webscript calls to the web server. The following link might help if you want to do that -

http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Web_Scripts
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/3.1_JavaScript_API

Accessing the repository by webscripts are very powerful - you have access to both the data AND the metadata.

But, if you simply want to push out the files, maybe publishing the files by using the file receiver instead might be a better option.

Jack
