Hi Amita,
Even though users may have the same username, they have surely been assigned different UUIDs. You can force the uuid inside those xmls by adding a line such as:

<sys:node-uuid>4489977c-25b4-4980-ab2e-6d6307472bfa</sys:node-uuid>‍

The UUIDs assigned by Alfresco are random-generated by using the org.alfresco.util.GUID.generate() method. You could generate your own UUIDs for those users, and import the users adding the -uuidBinding UPDATE_EXISTING argument to the import commands you're executing.

HIHernan,

I have tried the way you suggested on the enterprise version of Alfresco 3.0.
yes , this time it created single user only but I am not able to login with this user.
And if I modify the properites of this user then again suddenly it seems that another user also gets created with the same username.

Please suggest as I am not getting anything.
