I just installed alfresco on a windows 2003 server with mysql. The install worked great.I can access http://server:8080/alfresco , now I'm just digging around the site and looking around the alfresco support site.First thing what is the difference between the /alfresco and the /share sites?I'm going

unless I'm reading it wrong I'm running version 3 and a lot of the documentation I've found is for older versions. I don't see the version 3 docs. For example looking to setup email stuff I found http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/E-mail_Configuration but it says release 1.2?

also what is the start virtual server for in the start menu on the server?

Answers:

/alfresco is the alfresco explorer, the JSF based web client.
/share is the new web client.

Start Virtual Server is for the preview server of WCM.

Also make sure you take a look at the content community which you would have signed up to when you downloaded Alfresco.

WCM is Web Content Management. One of the optional applications for Alfresco.

Is there a wiki page that discribes the differences between WCM and /share ?

Sorry still trying to wrap my head around all of this.
