Upgrading POI

Hi all!!My Alfresco installation can't index .ppt (powerpoint 2003) files. I have researched about it, and found that the problem might be the version of POI (currently 2.5.1).I'm using Alfresco Community 2.1.I'd be glad if someone could give me some answers:1 - What's the version required to make A

I'm using Alfresco 3.0.0 (a 1032) and it has poi-3.0.2.jar. PPT indexing/searching works. What I would do is try to replace the library and see if it helps.

Hi!!..

I've replaced POI library.. but it still doesn't work!!

Question: Is it necessary to have OpenOffice running for this transformation to work ?????
