Hi,

As far as I can tell, if you get Sharepoint support working you don't need the Alfresco Word plugin.

To install Sharepoint support see here:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3#Installing_SharePoint_Protocol_Support

To use the Alfresco repository as a Sharepoint server there are instructions in the PDF guide here:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Alfresco_Labs_3#Microsoft_Office_SharePoint_Protocol_Support

Basically, it says to open Word and connect using http://alfresco:8080/alfresco

For me, doing this seems to present exactly the same functionality as a Webdav server. The Sharepoint stuff on the right of Word 2003 doesn't appear to work.

I've noticed that in some of the bugs they refer to "http://alfresco:8080:/spp" as the reference address. Going to this address gives me a different server name "Alfresco VTI Server" and I can view the top level directory of the site. When I try to go any further however, it tries to re-authenticate and give me an error saying "The folder http://alfresco:8080/spp/sites/is no longer available".

If anyone has any ideas on how to get the Sharepoint stuff working I'd be most grateful. This is effectively the decider on whether we go with Sharepoint or Alfresco. I'm testing with Labc 3C.

Cheers

Chris

Thnks mcvax,

I have tried it. It looks good but its feature is less attractive than Alfresco add-in in my view.

first, there is no function about workflow.
and function "Add new task" always show GRAY…

there is no function "Search" like Alfresco Add-in do.

Moreover, its user interface is not friendly relative to Alfresco add-in.

And How to log out ??? I have to close Ms Word for log out NOWWW…

Thanks All,
