JAVA heap space error while installing alfresco on ubunto

Hi all, While installing Alfresco2.1(community version) on ubuntu 8.04 it gives run time error like Java Heap space error.I am not getting why this error occur? Anybody is experiencing same problem?

Can you post the actual exception you're seeing, ideally pasted from the alfresco.log?

I'm sure if you do a search there's a post containing the answer to this somewhere on the forum - I has a similar issue on Ubuntu and found a fix on the forums - I had to change JVM arguments.

I don't have access to the environment from where I am but in the next day or so I'll dig up the exact settings. I also had issues with PermGen space issues and there's an argument to address that as well.
