HiI was setting up the share point server according to the alfresco tutorial. Everything worked fine, I created a site and uploaded a file. Next directions were to log out of share and close word. After that I can never log in again. I also cannot create new sites. In word I get "problem occurr

Have you tried to see if the location "alfresco on <myservername>" is in your network places in the windows explorer.
If not try to make a connection.

- Right click on the network places.
- select map a network drive.
- click on the link to allow storage online, and follow the instruction to the url: http://<myservername>:7070/alfresco, using you alfresco login.

Now you are in a situation where you can work with the sites in alfresco share through the sharepoint protocol.
You can make new sites in the alfresco share web interface and work with them.

This is ware i am too, cannot create new sites in word (office 2003, on xp) on my alfresco labs 3 satble on linux.
Hope someone else can fix that – i am waiting

Hello together,

we got the same problem with the sharepoint protocoll. Under 3c we were able to browse our document repository "…/alfresco" with the explorer and Office2003 integration worked.

Now with 3D (new installation) I cannot logon. I followed the PDF-installation-guide configuring the vti-properties file as requested.
I can access the repository through alfresco explorer (…:8080/alfresco) and through webdav.
But with sharepoint (explorer: http://...:7070/alfresco) no credentials are accepted - and if I connect with the "establish network connection" wizzard I can logon but there is no content displayed and if I drag and drop a file into it there is simply a timeout response. (client: Win XP SP3, Server: ubuntu LTS 8.04/alfresco 3D).
In the alfresco logs there is no trace of any activities.

I can see the module deployment (org.alfresco.module.vti - version 1.0) and I see "jetty-6.1.1.14 // started SocketConnector@0.0.0.0:7070".
Does 0.0.0.0 mean that jetty is binding to any IP or is there something missing in the configuration?

Anybody else with the same problem? Has anybody found a solution to this?

Any help is appreciated.

I too am having an issue with sharepoint module being able to authenticate when connecting via Word 2003 - of course I have no trouble logging in to Alfresco through either of the interfaces (/alfresco or /share) - I am using the native alfresco authentication for CIFS.
